EXPERIENCE OLIVER'S
As well as being an extremely comfortable and stylish tented camp, the camp also has a reputation for great guiding, holding a special license to conduct walking safaris and fly-camping inside the national park.
The range of activities on offer at Oliver's Camp is unique for a camp inside a Tanzanian National Park. Off-road and night driving allows you to get closer to the action. Walking and Fly Camping provide a true wilderness experience and add a unique element to a safari, while the park's stunning natural beauty is ideal for wildlife and nature photography.
Game Drives
Game drives within the Tarangire National Park are offered twice per day. Off-road driving makes wildlife drives more intense and interesting and allows you to get closer to the action.
Game Drives At Night
There’s also the opportunity to see some of Tanzania’s famous ‘nightlife’, with unforgettable night drives permitted within Tarangire.
Walking Safari
Walking is the absolute specialty of Oliver's Camp. The privilege of walking in these natural areas gives you an exhilarating feeling of adventure. Although you'll usually get close to large mammals such as elephant, giraffe, buffalo or even lion, walking safaris are very safe. The experienced guides of Oliver's Camp and an armed national park ranger will accompany you on every walk. Walking safaris can take an hour or a whole morning or afternoon, but combined with fly camping, they can take several days, letting you discover the most remote parts of Tarangire.
Fly and Bush Camping
The fly camp is typically booked as part of a walking safari or simply as an exclusive and private night away from the main camp. This small and intimate lightweight camp is a fantastic experience for those seeking something a little more adventurous.
Bush Breakfasts and Picnics
For those keen to get in some early game viewing or maximize their time watching game our camp chef can prepare a delicious packed breakfast or lunch.
Off-Road Game Drives
Here, on privately owned land, guides and guests have more liberty to explore: off-road driving is permitted to track down once-in-a-lifetime sightings, while bush picnics and sundowner drinks make for memorable moments in the heart of the East African bush.
